Last Saturday CSC had a great time playing in „Bürgerhaus“ Schortens. Schortens is the neighbouring town to Jever in the area of Germany called Ostfriesland (North Germany)

The Venue is really nice and the “Bürgerhaus” Team made us more than welcome. A big thank you goes to Krischan, the house technician, for the friendly and very professional help. Not to forget the Audience: They were superb. They sang when they were supposed to, danced when we wanted them to and listened to the ballads. They were simply perfect.

It was also a special Gig for Ofri, our bass player, as he lived in Schortens for a long time where his family come from. He was especially pleased as friends and relatives were there to listen to us. After the Gig we all went to his mothers house and had a bit of an acoustic session. As this point thanks to Sigrid, Nadine, Rosalie and Helmut for the after work party with food and drink.

One thing’s certain. We would love to play there again.

Good News.

Two Gigs have been confirmed. To start with the new date for our concert in Paderborn has been set for the 20th.October. And secondly our Gig on the “Essen Original” open air festival has been confirmed. We are playing on Friday the 31.8 on the main stage (Kennedyplatz) at 22:00. You could say the best time to play. In any case we are looking forward to playing for our Fans from Essen and the surrounding area.

The Gig last night in Grend (Essen, Germany) with „A Solas Sin Mi“ and Fataal was really good and a lot of fun. We would like to thank “Fataal” for inviting us and would willingly return for another evening mixed with various styles of music.

The audience were with us all the way and took part in the Party right to the last second which made it a perfect evening. Our friend/fan Wolfram has once again made a Slide-Show of our (CSC) Gig and released it on YouTube. Follow the link and have a look:

After the journalist, Markus Fuhrmeister, visited us in our new practice room last week to interview us on our success by the German Rock & Pop Prize 2011, the following article (in German) appeared in the Essener newspapers WAZ and NRZ.

After winning the first prize last year as “Best Scottish Folk Band”, we won two prizes this year.

Dino won the first Prize as “Best Folk Rock Singer 2011” and CSC won third prize as “Best Folk Rock Band 2011”.

Needless to say we are really pleased about the prizes, especially as there was a lot of competition this year

Connemara Stone Company has once again been nominated for the German Pop & Rock Prize 2011, and this time in two categories.

After winning the first prize as “Best Scottish Band 2010”, the Connemara’s, and their Singer Dino Serci, have been nominated for the Prizes “Best Folk Rock Band 2011” and
Dino as “Best Folk Rock Singer 2011”.

This means they have already won one of the first three prizes in both categories.

The winners etc. will be announced on the 17th of December at the live event in Wiesbaden where they will also be presented with their certificate.

Are they going to win the first prize again?

We will have to wait and see.

Hallo everyone

As some of you have probably realised, we have changes the Band Line-up once again.

Meikel, our last guitar player, has decided to leave the Band to be able to concentrate on his own music. We would like to thank him for all his efforts in the Band, and wish him success with his own music projects.

Welcome Stephan:
Our new member Stephan has taken over Meikel’s part, plus adding more of a Celtic sound to the Band. Exactly what we were looking for!!
Stephan plays Bouzouki, Mandolin and Guitar.
After the short period of only two Months, we played our first Gig together with Stephan in Norderney and according to the audience put on a great show. Well done Stephan.

We all had a good time together and the “Friesen” (people from Friesland, Germany) were really fantastic and friendly. The Gig itself was a success and everyone in the Hall joined in on the party. Or as we say “a good time was had by all”.
We would like to thank the Festival Team and the Organisers in Norderney for looking after us. They knew what we needed before we had the chance to ask them. They are a fantastic Team. We hope we will maybe see them again in two years time at the next Roverland Festival.

Apart from that you have obviously noticed that our new Band page is slowly taking shape.
There are a few new features in comparison to the old page.
For instance, you can sign up to the RSS feed and keep up to date with Tour dates that have been added.

Another great function is when you check out the Tour page. If you click on the Location you will be directed to their page (if they have one) where most of the time you will be able to order Tickets. Secondly, if you click on the address you will be directed to Google maps so you can see where the Location is.

On the right hand side we have added the music player from Reverbnation with our music. If you want you can add the player to your own page by pressing the share button.

Finally – you can contact our Manager, Keith Bailey, using the contact form, to send questions about the Band or to inquire about a Booking for your Event.

We will be adding a new Photo Gallery and Guestbook in the next couple of days. So keep an eye on the page.

Welcome to the new „Connemara Stone Company“page.

Yes… we are back again.

As you can see, we have changed the layout, and are working to get the page completely finished as soon as possible.

Although the page is not working completely, we hope you like the new design. In any case, we think you will really like the page when it is finished, and hope you will visit the page regularly.
